In most high ELO games, U may see such lane setup:
One be the Jungler,
and then
Top(long lane) for Brusier or Tanky champions(like Garen, Darius, Singed....,etc)
Mid(short lane) for AP carry(like TF, Xerath, Katarina...,etc)
BOT(long lane) for AD ranger(Like MissForturne,Ezreal,Varus...,etc ) and Support(Like Alistar,Taric,Janna...,etc.)
Most Support's works are protecting AD ranger, placing wards, and make sure they can win the lane.
EU style is quite common and popular in Asia servers, even in low ELO, U can see this kind of lane setup.
